    My new zombie defense weapon

After considering all the options and deals available I finally settled on this Century Arms. I fit my budget perfectly. Yeah I know it's not the top of the line but it will have to do. I'm on a budget. You never know when you'll run into zombies outside your front gate.

I purchased it at Gander Mountain and I literally had to hold on to and stand by this weapon until they unlocked it and gave it to me. They only had a few AR's left and many people wanted one. The .223 ammo was also flying off the shelf. I saw people with shopping carts full of ammo. Anyway here it is.

I hoarded a few boxes for myself but once I left the store I got the feeling I did not get enough. I was too anxious to get home with my new baby.

Oldschool, I like it. Check out Ammoman, he's usually got good prices on .223... but he's slammed right now, so the page may not be completely up to date.

Very nice looking rifle. Looking forward to a range report on it.

Nice, my local gun shop is selling 223 ammo by the barrel (I kid you not).

My jaw dropped, when I saw the barrel with a sign $0.32 each.....

$320/1000 is a reasonably good price... I'd buy a barrel if I had a spare couple grand lying around.

Fantastic. The best thing about the AR IMO is the ability to upgrade easily. I think that rifle will serve you well for as long as you take care of it, but should you want, replacing/upgrading won't kill you later on.

I'm already thinking tactical sling for the full stock or changing the stock to an adjustable one. But I have to take it to the range and shoot it first.

That's a good idea. I'm in an urban area, anything serious enough to require me to deploy my rifle is serious enough to merit carrying it for a long time (i.e. bugging out). The very first 'accessory' for my AR's is always a sling.

Nice AR, I wouldn't change a thing. Spend you money on ammo and enjoy the rifle.
