I took my future Son-In-Law shooting with a new-to-him weapon platform: My MAK-90 as modified by me. As a Second Lieutenant in the Army National Guard, he was very familiar with, and qualified on, US Army long guns, but he'd never seen an AK up close and personal.
After a quick field strip at his request (to learn the mechanics), we went and blew through a bunch of ammo.
The orange vest is a safety measure out here on public lands given it is deer and elk season.
Great weather, great shooting, and a fun morning!
And yes, he out shot me!
But, I'm am much better with my Glock 26, so he is still and Officer and a Gentleman.
He still calls me "Sir" or "His Eminence".........
