Wifey in a gun mood 870 inc

Well my wife has suprised me with a gun buy today. I have been talking about a shotty for awhile.

Well left big 5 with a 870 8 shot security

Suprised the heck out of me.

Well now i wonder where would be some good places to pick up some bling for this dull black gun?

Up at sheils there was a 870 with a simular butt on it but it accually would hold what looked like 2-3 shells anyone know where i might find somthing like that w/ out going to a pistal grip?

Im going to sit down with the manual tonight and give it a nice cleaning. Tommorow i got a box of target to shoot through at lunch.

    Billy,

I think your talking about a Speed Stock, details here.

You might also consider a Knoxx Stock.

Enjoy tricking out that shotty. Looks like a ton of fun!

Leave the stock as it is and get a "SideSaddle". It attaches to the reciever with pins and gives you an extra 6 shots that are mounted to it. They only cost around 20 bucks. 6 plus the 8 would be 14 shots. That ought to about cover anything.

Cool wife. Mine too, she bought me a Remington 710 and a Glock 36. Good luck with your 870. I have one too, they are excellent HD weapons.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

More than enough firepower for HD as it is, side-saddle is a good idea. Nice wife she must be a keeper!!

I've got the same 870. I put a side saddle on mine and I like it. Be advised, thought, the long forend will need to be modified and cut down to allow room for the side saddle.

Exactly. I changed my fore end to the tactical shorter ribbed version and did the 4 round side saddle. Things are better now.

I put my side saddle on and then realized the gun wouldn't function. I pulled it off and pulled the forend and sawed off the offending bits. It's lovely taking power tools to a new gun you haven't even shot yet.....

That's one way to skin the cat. On the other hand, I won't go hacking on parts I could turn around and sell that would more than cover the $14 I spent on the used tactical fore end.
