    Double Barrel tac-light clamp?

Yeah, I know, odd. I got a great deal on a coach gun. Now, my question is, do they make clamps for a tactical light that fits a double barrel? Never saw one. tx.

Not that I know of, and I'm not sure if you would really need one.

If your shotgun has sling swivles you could look for a light attachment that clamps to them. I saw one at a gunshow once, it looked like a cheap peice of crap but maybe there is one that works out there on the web.

I a pinch you can use a couple of vacuum cleaner drive belts. They are very thick and with some experimenting the right one should hold just fine. Check out the hoover replacement belts at Sears.

in a GUNS magazine clint smith used what looked to be a vaccuum cleaner belt or some sort of wide rubberband. i think these would be you best options.

edit: well heres something, but i can't find pictures of it on a double barreled shotgun

it says to option 61180 for use on vented rib/double barreled shotguns. (dunno if they are referring to o/u or side by side).

    3/4" conduit clamps!

Walk around your local hardware store for a while and I'm sure you will come up something. You can bubba-ize it and still make it look good.

    A serious idea:
Get a spare fore end (assuming you have one that clips on and off) and chisel/sand/shape it to be able to bolt a rail (weaver/picitiny) to. Refinish accordingly (black is nice). At that point, get a set of scope rings, pick your favorite flashlight and viola! you can even add a remote switch if you want.

Wish I had one to try it on.

Brownells is a great source for parts/mods. Once you figure out how to nav their site!

Hey, there really are some good ideas here... even the stainless clamps! Thanks, guys. If I can make it work, I'll post a pic.

On the episode of Personal Defense TV titled "Using what you have," Clint Smith showed a double barrel shotgun with a Surefire E2E secured beneath the muzzle of the barrels using three sections of bicycle inner tube. His comments were "Sure, it's hokey - but do you want to come down the hallway against this 'hokey'?"

I tend to agree with that.

He was using a piece of bicycle innertube in that article.
