Purchased my first AR about a month ago... the OLY Arms Plinker Plus. Still haven't had a chance to shoot the darn thing, but that will change tomorrow (weather permitting).
Been searching for another to add to the collection now, but same as before... I'd like to keep it ~ $800.
Notice DPMS has the "Sportical," and a local dealer has it priced in the low 7s.
Anyone had experience with this gun? DPMS a good buy?
Also still wishing for that S&W 5.45, but at ~ $1k, that's tough.

What do you want to do with the rifle? Would you be willing to save a little longer for something that will last a lot longer? Have you tried the "Search" function to see what it comes up with for DPMS?

Defensive Carry Search Tips
Step 1 - Choose a subforum on right side under "Search in Forum(s)"
Step 2 - Type general topic of interest in "Search by Keyword" textbox.
Step 3 - Read results and refine/repeat as necessary.

I think it looks likes a ******* deal on a nice rifle. They just had a test in one of the gun mags this past month adn they were impressed with it's quality and performance for the money. If you can find one for close to MSRP it's probably worth buying.
