    AR15 7.62x39 FTE

I let my buddy try my 7.62x39 upper over christmas with some silver bear match ammo, this ammo has a zinc coating. The ammo was FTE all the way and I thought maybe the stuff was sticking in the tighter AR chamber vs. my mini 30,upon closer exam I discovered most of the end of the extractor was missing causing enough grip to start the case backward but then slipping off.Good thing theres a funshow this weekend so i can buy another one but since they're fairly cheap i'm gonna get a couple spares.

What brand bolt do you have. I heard that LMT is making 7.62x39 bolts but there is no release date yet.

Steel cases are hard on extractors. Pretty much the end of the story. Buy a couple or three extras; you can polish the face to reduce the chambering friction, and be sure that the chamber is thoroughly cleaned.

The bolt came with a model1 sales upper I believe, once a new extractor is installed shouldn't be any more problems, the problem with some kit guns is they use the cheapest parts they can get,but this is the first part I have ever had fail in any of my AR's and it is a part that can break over time especially when you look at the type of ammo it ejects.
