    School me on slings

Last summer I bought a Stag 1L (mirror image M4ish), and swore I would leave it bone stock, but I want a sling. With all the crap going on in Gaza, I noticed the Israelis wear a sling that carries the gun muzzle down, in front of them. It looks like you could either drop the rifle, or pick it up in an instant. Anyone know what they use?

Single point sling. Requires adapter for attaching. Check with TacForce, Blackhawk, or any of the equipment suppliers for a sling and adapter. Great choice for carry and use.

+1 on the single point sling

I have a Blackhawk single point sling on my M&P15, and it works good if you don't plan on doing a lot of hands free movement with the rifle. Otherwise it will flop around and the barrel of the gun will hit you in the legs. Once you run the rifle dry, you can let go of it, and pull out your sidearm (if so equipped), engage targets again, and your rifle will still be at the ready.
