Any resolution to this problem, Athos?

I had the same problem with my 590, buy yourself a Wolff spring from Brownells (it took 3 days for me to receive from them, standard shipping) and take it to a gunsmith to cut and install.
Total cost including shipping and gunsmithing for me was $18. $8 for the spring and shipping, and $10 for the gunsmith to cut and drop it in. Excellent quality aftermarket part if you ask me.

Well, situation is rectified. I ordered a new spring from Wolff. Didn't even need to have it cut. Everything works great now.
Thanks for the advice all

Glad you got it solved. I really like my Mossy 590. It had a burr on the chamber which gave a problem on extraction. With a file in my multi tool, I fixed it pronto and no more problems. The thing rocks.
Get the bayonet to put on it, OK?
You can probably find the parts you need on EBay. Trust me, there are plenty. All the shotgun parts I have now are Ithaca 37 and Remington 870. I have the orange cheesy follower from my 870 and the steel one out of my former Ithaca....don't know if those would work. Yeah......with a lot of folks handling a shotgun, I'm almost sure somebody had to go stick their finger in the mag tube and push on the follower more than likely folding it up inside crosswise and screwing things up. Brownell's is pretty reasonable and fast with delivery, but I'd bet you could do better on EBay.
I'll be sure not to trade there. these kind of people don't need to be in business if that's the attitude they have.
As I read down throught this thread, it reminded my why I won't go to gunshows anymore.
I do my business with the same gun shop and they WOULD make it right...immediately! I wouldn't even have to ask, they'd just do it!![]()
