End User Opinion: ACE 'Skeleton' stock
I am going to swap out the A2 type stock on my 556 for something that is lighter and functionally more purposeful.
I'd prefer the MagPul 'Precision Rifle Stock' (PRS) but they co$t a grip which I cannot justify, so a more reasonable is my second choice with the ACE Ltd. 'Skeleton' stock.

I'm leaning toward the ARFX-E Shorty (Entry) model with optional 1" thick recoil pad, but am not sure that is not too short so as to jack up the ergonomics. The full size being the other choice which is standard length.
Do any of you have any trigger time and run and gun behind either?
If so let me know your end user feedback position on either unit.
Thanks,
- Janq

I had the full sized stock on an AR15. I really liked it alot. It is very solid and the foam cover makes for a nice cheek weld. If I needed a fixed stock, it's what I'd choose.

I would wonder if the foam might get funky from sweat.

Yep I'm already sold on this stock, it's just I had been entertaining the shorty as opposed to the standard length.
I think I'm going to go with standard length as I have long arms and am not barrel chested.

Its been quite awhile since I handled a 552, so I'm not sure how the rear of the receiver is, "in your face," but...
I have used the 7.5" on an AK, and loved it. You can tuck in really tight, and transition L/R without coming off line much at all. The foam is like bicycle handgrips, and isn't hard or very expensive to replace. Very solid gear.

I absolutely love this stock and I got the full size. A friend of mine got the shorty which I wish I had gotten instead. I still like my stock but I would rpefer the shorter one. It seemed to make it easier to manipulate around the house.

I can't comment on this particular stock, but I like a shorter stock on a rifle and I'm not a small man... It's just how I was taught to shoot a carbine (specifically my AK) - less bladed... with my hips and shoulders more square - the short stock really works well in that case...
