There's a member over at HPFF that removed the bow and that the stock is solid so no need to fill any holes. He posted that he can reach the mag release one handed now. Me I'm going to leave the bow on.

Shadow,
You may have talked me into getting a
Hi Point carbine![]()
I soooooo wish ATI would make one of these for the .40 version (4095)...
I'd be curious to know how difficult it is for you to reach the magazine release? On the Berretta Storm I find it difficult to hit the release unless I bring my hand around to the left side and it seems it would be the same way on the Hi Point Stock?
What has your experience been and how do you see yourself doing a quick reload?
Thanks for posting this, I really find it interesting.
I just ordered one of the new stocks. Can't wait for it to come in.
Does this stock come with a place to mount a red dot scope? I guess I'm wondering what kind of rail I need to put on top to just put your ordinary red dot scope on. Thanks in advance.
The ATI Stock doesn't cover the Hi Point receiver.
The rail attaches to the receiver with four allen screws.
You can use the Hi Point rail to mount the red dot but it's a cheep metal stamping that may give you problems keeping zero. Bushman makes a nice rail the uses the oem allen bolts in a short or full rail that reaches the length of the ATI stock. You can see the stamped Hi Point rail at the bottom of the photo.
BTW welcome to the forum.

Bushman also makes a short rail for optic mounts like this one. Although it's hard to see in this pic. Along with the aluminum trigger and better charging handle made of aluminum and the muzzle break/flash hider on the end.

The ATI stock certainly is a major ergonomic, handling and appearence upgrade for the HP 995. I Duracoated all the metal and added a barrel shroud, butt pad, acessories mounting rails.

When I leave the home port:
S&W 642 Airweight, Ruger SP 101, Colt Detective Spec., CZ RAMI, Kahr PM9, Kahr CW40, S&W Model 10-7, Glock 30, 19, and 26, Browning Hi Power, CZ82, Colt Commander, Dan Wesson PM7, Ruger LCP
Looks good Pirate.
Is the shroud a Morese?
would getting one of these do the job?:
EGW 16 in. Picatinny Scope Mount Extrusion Rail Gunsmith - $24.99 : EGW, Inc., World Class Precision Parts
Should work just fine. You'll just have to drill your own holes for mounting is all. ;-)
