I found one locally for $300, looks to be in good condition, 7+1 capacity and comes with a pistol grip, heat shield (even needed?), rail, case and the original wood stock. I'd like to pickup another shotgun for HD duty but have been thinking about a coach gun instead to compliment my Saiga 12.
It seem like a pretty fair deal if it's in good shape. For me, the included accessories would be almost worthless, with the exception of the wooden stock. I can't stand pistol grip stocks, heat shields aren't necessary, and the case is too short to fit the gun with the original stock. It also looks like it has a rail of some sort added to the top of the receiver, which wouldn't appeal to me either, but to each his own.
I have 3 Defender 1300's that went for about $200 a couple years ago, and I see them priced at around $400 now. That's not an exact comparison, but they're pretty much the same gun so it's a close estimate. Thus, $300 seems like a decent enough price.
I really like my 1300 Defenders, and I think I would like a 1200 just as much.
If you end up buying it and find that you don't want the wooden stock, I'd be willing to take it off your hands for you. ;)
It isnt a total rip off if you want a gun set up just like that one, if not, then its not a very good deal at all. If it had a complete set of wood, I'd buy it for 3
