.300 Win Mag, First trip to the range.
lets start off with a little history.
I realy like the Remington 700. but my wife says that we have to feed the kids also.
That being said I had to settle for a cheaper rifle. after mych review and scouting around I settled on Remington 770 in 300 win mag. I know that the action is a bit sticky. I know that it does not look as nice. But I am very happy with the way it shoots.
let me also state that it has been MANY years sence I have handled a rifle. this rifle has exactly 13 rounds through it. Rounds 7-9 are my best grouping. 1.7 inch. the center of that group is 2.2 inches high at 100 yards. This should give me ~2.2 high at 100, on target at 200 and ~3inch low at 300. for the first time out, and the first time out with a 300 win mag, I am very happy. I'll be out a few more weekends to close the group up a bit.
not bad for $337

Reason: devide distance by 10. 1000 is now 100 and so on.

not bad at all I was lucky to get a win m70 in 300wsm for 370 brand new9 last of the new haven conn)
on a closeout
I put mine 3-3.3 high at 100 yds so I have pint blank zero out to 340 yds so I just put the cross hairs on and anything out to 340 will be in the kill zone just something to consider if you want to google point blank zero and try a barrell de-resonator might help a little as well as a new trigger that might be the only reason you got 2.2 I bet that gun will eventually get 1 moa easy with the trigger work (or new) and the deresonator just 2 cents have fun with it

Hengst, I don't intend to be mean, but could you edit, or re-post with some punctuation?
To the op, congrats on the new rifle.
