Anyone handled one of these yet? By Mossberg, 835 platform 20" barrel, m4 style stock. I saw one in a Cabelas ad, but thats the only place i have seen one. I think they were going for $450.
The 835 is a good shotgun..........for hunting. I have owned one for a few years, it doesn't have the fancy stock. The reason I say it is good only for hunting is that there are not very many options available for it. If you buy one in a turkey configuration be advised that you CANNOT shoot slugs through it without a slug barrel as they are overbored to a 10 guage.
Heck of a turkey gun though, it kicks like a mule with a 3 1/2 mag shell.![]()

It's a good gun, for hunting turkey.
For self defense get a defensive shotgun.
