Thumbs up My Bushmaster Is Now Up To Par.

Fresh out the box, she's not ready for hard use.

    Heres what I did:

    1. Swapped out the Bushmaster bolt for a Bravo MP tested/shot peened bolt (installed crane O-ring).
    2. Swapped out the poorly staked Bushmaster bolt carrier.
    3. Applied gun tight to the castle nut.
    4. Replaced carbine buffer with H2 buffer.
    5. Swapped out M4 handguard for TROY DRI.
    6. Added Tango down vertical grip.
    7. Added Tango down battle grip
    8. Surefire G2 flashlight with tape switch (viking tactics mount).
    9. Added Daniel Defense sling mount.
    10. Added Troy single point sling.
    11. Added Aimpoint CompM2 sight.
    12. Added ADM Aimpoint mount.
    13. Still waiting on my Magpul back up sights to arrive.

    Upgraded and ready to rock!

Very nice cosmetically speaking. I figure you'll know when it's up to par once you shoot a hole through the zero on the number ten ring at 100yds. Or would that be a hole in one, an eagle, or a birdie?

Thanks, yes the cost of that setup would have kept me fed for quite a while.

Sadly, Ive only been able to zero it at 25 yards. That should change when the weather breaks and I can make it out to an outdoor range.

    Nice looking Evil Black Rifle...

You need a learner's permit to run that thing?

I love the way your looks...very cool.

Doesn't it make you a little sick to have to pay almost (if not more) as much money for the "accessories" that you have put on it just to get it up to par?

I believe that if it wasn't broke don't fix it. You should have shot it before spending a buch of cash on tacticool. It may have run great out of the box.

It may have, but a lot of what was done were decent moves to make the gun more robust. I wouldnt have done a lot of the stuff done, but a lot of it I would have too.

The OP is happy with his carbine, and he should be. It looks like a nice carbine.
