    Discreet carrying case for shotguns/rifles

The shotgun in question is a basic Remington 870 with an 18 1/2 inch barrel and full buttstock. I don't like the option of putting a pistol grip while I travel. What I need is a quiet, discreet case to hold a shotgun and extra ammo. I will use this case when I'm camping, traveling (road trip, YEAH!), and range use. It can't scream "TACTICAL" or "GUN". What are my options?

The Sneaky Bags Covert Rifle Bag does a nice job holding a long gun without looking 'tactical'. I use one of their small bags for my XCR. The large size ought to be long enough to hold an 870. If you want something a bit less spendy, a camp chair bag does a good job holding a long gun covertly, though you may have to work a bit to find one long enough to hold your shotgun.

If the camp chair doesn't work... look for the "camp" tables that tend to be long enough.

Use one of those back packs designed to carry a skateboard. I may or may not use one on occasion.

I have one of these...maybe right on the edge of what you need. It has no brand labels or anything....It comes in tan or black. Very nicely made and modular. Although I do like the idea of Sixto.

Check out a "gig bag" for a guitar. You can find them for $20. Check e-bay also.
They don't yell "gun", yet have nice padding.
