Actually, he's taking the CCW class with my instructors, and got our neighbor's hubby to come along too, AND he'll be using my Sig P239 to qualify with.
But wait, there's more! Our DC-meet-up is there on Saturday as well, so he will be able to meet some more experienced folks who can assure him that owning a gun doesn't make you an inbred hillbilly! Woohoo!!!! Thanks everyone who gave advice and future thanks to all who are coming to shoot on Saturday!
(Will be posting pics for sure)
alright thats awesome, i knew he would come around yall have fun.

Sorry the range trip didn't pan out as well as expected. But keep your hopes up. It will work out eventually.

Bunny,
I'm sorry to hear that your range trip didn't go so well. Keep working with your son and I'm sure he'll be fine.
On the other hand I think your husband is a lost cause. At least until he gets a lot older. Right now he's obsessed with working and that probably won't ever change. Let him enjoy his video games etc. To each his own. Men don't really ever change, we are 12 years old forever!
Give him some time and he'll come around to the idea of getting a rifle for your son. It just won't happen as quick as you would like.
FWIW I'm a confused Yankee. Born and raised in rural Ma, been happily living in FL for 4 1/2 years. BTW My wife and I are actually related! We have a common ancestor back 6 generations ago.
