Yep, a two stage piston driven AR from Ruger. I bet Old Bill is spinning in his grave. Looks like it might be a performer if anyone's willing to be a test bunny.

Not bad.
Not bad at all.
Maybe the people are Ruger are finally waking up...
Its a bit pricey for an AR though.

That looks nice. I like the grips added to the rails. I hate the rails on anything to begin with.
I think Sig Sauer also make a 5.56 that is piston driven.

A 9mm may expand, but a .45 will never shrink.
Firearms have two enemies: Rust and politicians.
This country needs more family trees that produce quality lumber instead of socialist freeloading nuts.
That is definitely on the high end for an AR. That is up there in SIG territory. Hopefully Ruger will put our a winner.

It's $2K, but it has about $500 worth of aftermarket parts from the factory and the piston. Plus it looks to have all the marks checked on the M4 List. I'd say for what it is that's a fair price.
I don't see anything wrong with that. It's out of my price range, but looks like it will be a solid seller, if Ruger can put the on dealer racks.

A little too pricey for my wallet but looks nice.
I for one am happy a typically "fudd" manufacturer is getting into ARs (along with S&W). It's actually pretty well priced for a piston AR (if you think you need that sort of thing) and comes with some really good rails and what are typically after-market add-ons. I like that it comes with 3 30 rnd PMags... Is that Ruger's way of apologizing for years of 10 round mag sales to civies?

Nice to see it, but I think it's about 12 months behind the 8 ball.
