In short, yes. For best results stick to either La Rue Tactical or GGG.

I don't own any, but I've handled those of others and spoken with many folks about them. LaRue always tops the list.

+1 more vote for LaRue. They return to zero. Some others probably also do. Many do not.

Another LaRue guy here. I shot a 10 shot string from my AR at 50 yards, removing the sight and re-mounting it between each shot, about 3/4 inch ctc, which is right about what I can do leaving the sight alone.

I'll beat the dead horse and throw in another vote for Larue's stuff, it works, very well.

A.R.M.S, LaRue, American Defense Manufacturing, GG&G, etc, etc, etc.

    Although, I'm a LaRue guy.

For an AR or anything with a rail, Larue without a doubt.

For bolt guns, I've had really good luck with Warne and Leopold. I've also got two Steyrs with their QD system and it works very very well.

Here's some pics of my Larue. Get the Po'Boy special, the mount alone is worth the price! The optic is a low power european military surplus (came off RPG's or whatever). For your $200, you get the mount, optic, and the traditional LaRue ballcap, 'Dillo bottle opener, and 'Dillo Dust for grilling!
