Background on the Neostead
Ever since I first saw a picture of one of these several years ago, I have absolutely wanted one. It is a ingenious design. Recently, I remembered it and started to do some research about buying one. Unfortunately, it seems they are still illegal in the US. Political BS about being a "destructive device" with no sporting purpose (home defense isnt sporting eh?).
It seems purely retarded to me that the Saiga 12 is legal to own here, yet this isnt. I wish the company would just lease the rights to a US manufacturer so it can bypass some of the import laws. Heck, it seems it is even classified as a "non-restricted firearm" in Canada, but even with our good ol' 2A we can't get one. Stupid.
If you have a mill, it is legal to make you own, just keep the barrel/OAL limits in mind.
