Oh I have plenty of wants, just no money for them.
However, that being said and this being an appropriate venue for the comment, Colt only currently holds the benchmark seen as the gold standard ARs ought to meet. Once the buying frenzy slows down a bit and ammo becomes more available, and things start turning better economically, I suspect Colt is going to have a run for its money against companies like BCM, CD Defense, Daniel Defense, LMT, and Noveske. Bravo Company is starting to make lowers now, meaning complete rifles are possible and I don't think anyone's doubting their quality. CD Defense can actually compete in terms of production capability and has a very involved company president who's been working his butt off to make sure CD Defense sets a new company standard. Daniel Defense already has an outstanding rifle for the price, and looks like this second one is going to be the same in that respect. Noveske goes without saying, and can become a big player if they ever decide to expand (they might not, and I wouldn't fault them for it). Then again, FN could swoop in at any minute and start producing semi-only A4s, too.
Were I Colt, I'd be lookin' over my shoulder at civilian sales...
I think the trick to fulfilling the wants is to somehow become a part of the T&E community... I have no idea how you get into that racket... but I'll test any free gear anyone sends me (*hint! hint!*)
It's funny about Colt. They used to be the only game in town for a serious AR... now they set the standard, but there are lots of rifles hitting the market that meet or exceed that standard...
