    870 Compact?

I was at Gander Mountain today and handled a Remington 870 "Compact" as it was tagged. It kind of felt like an 870 Junior/Youth model. It was 12 gauge, 3" chamber and had green digital camo funiture, foreend and full sized buttstock. It felt a lot more handy and easier to move with than a "regular" 870. It had an extended mag tube. Has any one seen these? Is it really a "compact", or was it mistagged and made think it was smaller, lighter, and faster? If it is a compact...I want one. Tell me what you all think.

I looked at one of those 870's for my son. It seems a little pricey for a jr. model. Do you remember what they were asking for it?

Depends on what you want it for. I like Remingtons but if you just want "A" shotgun, I saw a Mossberg Maverick 88 at Wal-Mart the other day for about $190. It'll keep the door for ya.

I know this is petty...but I just dont like the way a Mossberg "rattles" never handled one that doesnt.
