I think I have finally made my mind up on an AR its either the colt 6920 or 6940. If you can please list the pros and cons of both rifles. I want something to shoot and target with and just for an all around good rifle. I plan to add some aftermarket items to it.
Price difference is around 125-150 dollar difference. I like the 6920 carry handle, I like the 6940 flip down sights and the hand heatshiled forend or w/e it is. I wouldnt mind having the 6920 just change the heatshield to the same one as the 6940. Since I dont care for how the top rail extends all the way.

it depends if you want to leave it alone or mod it. if you want rails then go with the 6940. if you like traditional handguards then the 6920 is a great rifle. they are both over priced IMO.
the 6920 has a traditional barrel nut IIRC. you can put any handguards you want on the 6920 but then the price will almost even out in the end and they can the guard you WANT, not the ones that comes on the 6940.
me, i'd get the 6920 and mod it the way i want it. thumb.gif
BUT, if you are getting a steal on the 6940 go with it.

heres my 6920 I just got it on friday so no extras, not the best pic but if you really want a better one I could take some pictures for you. Let me know
take a pic of the handle like underneath the handle what it would look like if the handle wasnt there, is there a rail to mount scopes on? with the handle off
The handle comes off so you could mount scopes on it, i am out of town now but when i get back either tomorrow or tuesday ill post the pictures you want. Hope this helps.
Yes the 6920 has a rail. Just unmount the handle/iron fixed iron sight and remove it. It is stuck on the dovetail mount just like a normal scope would slide on it.
ok, so does the 6940 have the ability to take off the rifle heatshield hand rail or w/e its called not the whole top rail just where you would hold the rifle up
The 6940 is a great deal for the all of the stuff that comes with it to mounts stuff...rails etc. I have a 6721 and wish it came with a railed forearm. to mount lights and vertical grips, etc.
