Got an almost identical rifle in .44 Magnum. It's one of my pets.

I just bought one 3 weeks ago. Have had a chance to take it out shooting and love it. A 22LR has a special place in my heart.

very nice. 10/22 - one of the most fun guns around.

I have a very similar scope and rings for mine. I removed them last weekend and took my 10/22 to the 50' indoor pistol range and practiced double taps at close range using the iron sights. Made that carbine so much lighter and handier!
Much fun, and cheap on the ammo budget!

It really isn't a 'mini'.
It's a 10/22.
Ruger makes the Mini-14 and Mini-30, (.223 & 7.62x.39 respectively) which are built on the same basic design as the M-14, but scaled down.
The 10/22 and the .44 carbine (Formerly called the Deerstalker, I believe) is a different design.
Took my first deer as a teen with my Uncles .44 Ruger.
I have a Mini-30 and LOVE it for deer hunting.
All good guns. My son has had a 10/22 since he was a whippersnapper.
Come to think of it, I should have one myself!

It's a must have in any complete gathering of firearms. But be careful, you'll spend Anschutz dollars on barrels, stocks, triggers, etc. before you realize the total if the 10/22 bug bites ya'! It's bitten me, uh,...more than once. Nice rifle, well done.
