If you need that many rounds, why are you using a shotgun at all?

At the cost of maneuverability and weight. If you need that much greater capacity, why not grab a rifle?

I don't understand the opposition to this. Seems like a smart way to fill a niche application. Many of the same arguments about weight could be made about high capacity pistols as well. My 8 round P225 is a lot lighter than a big double stack 45.

Certainly a 20 round Saiga-12 drum magazine isn't any more practical than this thing. They're huge!

A shotgun is a CQB weapon. I'll keep mine as slick as possible and not ruin the balance and swing of the gun.

If you like it, have fun. I don't see any real world practical application for it.

You could take out a lot of zombies with that before needing to reload.

About the same weight people put on their shotguns to hold extra ammo (be it sling or shotshell holder). In a gunfight in a building, this add on will provide an increadable amount of firepower, and I doubt it will do anything negative when it comes to weight. The only off set is the "alleged" price.

Please note the date, as this may be the only time I'm going to be right vs SIXTO or BAC concerning the value of a firearm related item.

This is going to gain in popularity in the next three years, I doubt every PD / LE cruiser, but there are going to be plenty "...real world practical application(s)." Again, the only uncertainty, how will it test in durability. Hold me to it.

It looks neat. If you have the spare cash.

    OK... I will.

Did you know that there has already been something very similar out for about 12 years now? Its popular with the turkey shoot guys ( in the matches that allow such devices) and those guys have been making them in their basements for much longer than that?
Granted, this device looks better made and gives a larger capacity. We shall see

I do agree that this is a novel idea and very tacticool (in a good way), I just see it as a very limited use item.

the spare ammo/weight issue just don't wash. Who in the world carries their spare ammo hanging off the weapon in front of their forearm balance point?

Adding 4-5 pounds to the front of the balance point looks awful unwieldy to me.

    Impressive, but...

I would guess sports like 3-gun will be the primary use. Those guys already use crazy-long mag extensions. You also see super-high-cap AR mags in that sport. 3-gun stages tend to be long and there aren't capacity restrictions.
