I recently ran into some extra money and I thought long and hard as to where it should be spent, and of course firearms where the conundrum.
Here is what I purchased: LWRC M6A2 6.8 SPC 14.7" barrel with Surefire flash hider.
The ones in these pics are not my actual rifle. My rifle came to me still in the sealed plastic with grease and in the OD green case as pictured (Condor Outdoor case) It also came with the Knights rail covers and the Troy front and rear flip up sights, which are actually marked "LWRC" Magpul EMOD stock and standard with the Magpul MIAD grip system. I purchased the rifle from www.avguns.com Felix, the owner is one great guy to purchase from. He included the case and all the proper materials from LWRC along with some Slip 200 and TW25 grease, as well the other back straps for the MIAD grip and one Barret 6.8 SPC magazine. (Great mag, but expensive, as is the ammunition)
I put 100 rounds of Silver State Armory 6.8 OTM through it this past weekend and not one single hiccup from the short stroke gas piston system. This is one damn nice rifle. I'm suddenly a believer in the 6.8 SPC cartridge. It's 80% of the terminal ballistics of the .308 with 50% less recoil. Every soldier should have this system in his hands, but all know what it takes to just get a toothbrush approved, let alone a new rifle system.
I will supply pics later with my optics and foregrip and light system. Enjoy !!!
