    I do not own a Double Star AR and I usually don not like to comment on guns I do not own, but the ones I have seen and handled are good solid well made AR's and I think they are a great bargin. Their rep is generally good.

    There is such a thing as excessive maintenance. I recommend reading Chad (borebrush)'s cleaning instructions here (free to register, and worth it). I thought of quoting it, but then I'd have to edit out the swearing. It loses its flavor that way.

    You don't generally see those two brands named side by side.

    Rock River has a really good trigger in their kits though.

    LMT is a mighty fine rifle, personally if I had the money I would go that route, or at least get the BCG from them. Full auto is preferred for that.
