I have heard Hotguns does good work... nice to see one of his products. That K-Var RPK style forearm looks good. Those caught my eye awhile back when they first came out. The RAM trigger guard fits the whole traditional "ish" AK theme too.

Darn shame you weren't able to pick up mags and drums over the holiday season when many were on sale. All this panic/hype has really drove the prices back up. There are some Korean 5 round mags that are reasonably priced and supposed to work great. I like the smaller mags for low profile...and the high capacity for hell raising.

You have a chance to run her yet? They are FUN. I'm sure you got the info on breaking her in etc.

I wanna play I wanna play!! Since this picture was taken I have added a blackhawk one point tac sling to the rear sling mount and I plan on installing a different rear sight onto my baby. However, other than a forward grip she is exactly how I wanted my AK to be

Hey guys, I have a quick question: Does anyone have experience with the Sightmark reflex sight? I went to the range the other day with my brother and his new WASR topped with the Sightmark Sure Shot. After about 30-50 rounds, it wouldn't stay turned on. We had to wiggle the brightness/power turret to get it to come on momentarily, but it wouldn't stay. The fella at the store who sold it to him claimed to have one on his AK and that it worked great. It was awesome when it worked. What's the deal? Is the AK just too snappy/too much recoil? Did he get a bad one? We weren't expecting it to be on par with an Eotech. We know it is a cheap optic, but expected a bit more robustness out of a product that claims to be "shock proof".

My one and only AK, a Rifle Dynamics AKMS with a folding Bulgarian stock, Fuller rear sight mod, and a G2 trigger, plus a bunch of other internal stuff. I added a US Palm Battle Grip (fits the hand much better now) and the sling in the picture is the Enhanced Kalashnikov sling from One Source Tactical. I run US Palm AK30 mags in it and have only had one mag cause me repeated malfunctions which was promptly replaced by US Palm (awesome service). I also run surplus 20rd mags since I like it compact sometimes. The bag is a Hawkepak Mini-mag cache that usually holds four AK30s, two XD9 mags and a Surefire G2.
