Guess I forgot to post my growing family in here.

Nothing too fancy, just a couple 7.62's, 12 gauges, and a 5.45 (so far). Yeah Saiga's are AK's too. I'm more than pleased with their performance and price point. Simple, straight forward and mean. Great for the desert.

I have one like this. Anyone ever sand down the shelacked stock and forgrips and just stain them? I hate how slippery they are and would like to see some wood grain.

If you did this to yours, how did you do it?

Excuse me for a few moments, will ya? I have to wipe the drool off my chin and check the thesaurus to see if there's any words stronger than "envy" or "jealousy" to accurately describe what I'm feeling right now...

Thanks Pirate , thinking about putting a rail forearm on her from Midwest I think it is. I really like the Saiga rifle and hope to be adding the 3 calibers I am missing.

Bought the rifle back in 2000, the wood, p-grip and sling took me about a year to acquire. Most came from a contact I had in Russia who was selling AK stuff. Very hard to get I tell you!

    Try here:
    Avtomats in Action!

Can be costly to get authentic Russian wood!
