Can be costly to get authentic Russian wood!

Gorgeous stuff if finished correctly. I've seen some Ironwood sets that are just drop-dead beautiful.

This is a pic of my ex-Maadi with Ironwood stocks. They are pretty darn good looking.

Excellent! I love the AKM-ness of the Maadis :)

So, I take it Ironwood's good people to deal with?

Authentic Russian look... as close as possible.

Very few things get to me like toggles on a Luger, bent wings on a Corsair... or red Russian wood

I was soo close to buying a Siaga .308 but after looking for accesories and seeing all the 922r compliance laws, it kind of turned me off to buying one. I'd like to buy an all black AK-47 someday, but I'll probably keep it as is and add all the tacticool stuff to my AR.

zero: That is an awesome Saiga collection you have! :)

Here's my Sunday-go-to-meetin' AK. Had it special-ordered, got it in August or September 1989. Serial number is < 100

I've lost count but I know I've put over 6,000 rounds thru it.

Very purrrdy...looks great for '89. Love those milled receivers.

Thanks! Me too - I saw it advertised on the back of an issue of Soldier of Fortune (still have the issue!) I took it in to my local gun shop and kept bugging the crap out of him to order it until he called me one day to tell me it finally came in. Then, when he noticed the serial number, he mumbled a vulgarity and said that even though he hated AKs, if he'd have seen how low it was, he'd have kept it for himself :)
