Belt leather: what is the best leather to look for?

If you're a belt-maker or work in leather, can you clarify something? What is the best, most-durable leather that we should look for as the base materials in any quality "gun" belt.

Goal is to avoid the run-of-the-mill leathers that some sub-par belt makers use for belts claimed to be suitable for carrying heavy sidearms. What area of the animal should the hide be from (ie, along the spine)? What thickness? Double-hide, bonded and sewn, or a single thick hide? Am looking to avoid break-down over time, greatest ability to withstand heavy loads/twisting, avoiding aging/cracking of the surface and finish, etc. Seems to me that the selection of the leather hide itself is key, to all of this.

Bit off topic - security cameras

My apologies, this is a bit off topic for this forum, but there are a lot of people with a ton of experience not just in firearms but security in general and I am hoping someone on here will share.

I am looking for a quality outdoor security camera with specific features. I looked at the Logitech Alert 750e, but it uses that connectivity via the power in the house, rather than wireless which is what I want.

Must be:
Wireless
Night vision
Support Alerts
plug into a standard power outlet - I have outlets on my roof.
Support 2 way communication
Allow remote monitoring, Computer, smart phone etc.

Pan/Tilt would be a bonus, but not required.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, so I have an EAA Corp Windicator 357 Mag double/single action revolver. I absolutely love it. The barrel is compatible with 357 or .38 special rounds. My issue is I cannot find a .38 cylinder ANYWHERE. I looked on EEA's websote and couldn't find one and I've buzzed all over my area and the internet and cannot find one. I love the revolver as is, but it would be nice to have the .38 special cylinder if I wanted it. Does anyone know where I could find one for a decent price?

Alternatives to 5.11 Holster shirt

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a 5.11 Holster shirt that I just love for CC, the pocket holds the butt of the gun close to my ribs and as a result there is no visible print when carrying. I have tried a few other compression shirts, but they all hold the barrel/trigger area of the gun and cause the butt/handle to point outwards from my ribs, making it easier to see the outline of the gun. Most shirts are around $50 but the 5.11 is $70, whilst I love the 5.11, I was wondering if anyone had found something equivalent for a better price, $70 for a T-shirt is just to steep for me, even if it is a good shirt..

I also have an IWB, but actually prefer the 5.11 shirt, but obviously the draw time is slower..

Would welcome all/any suggestions.

I saw their booth at the NRA show. The gentleman was very helpful and showed me their products. I liked the way they felt, operated, and were customizeable. I know it's not a replacement for a safe, but they might have a use.

Has anyone owned one? They are offering $100 off and free shipping.

They're a bit pricey.
