Revolvers Becoming Popular Again
Anybody notice revolvers becoming more popular lately?

Mostly with new women shooters that are in the process of getting a permit.
They are simple and basically fool proof. No safetys to remember, no magazines to be seated, no fingernails breaking on slides that need to be racked. Get one in stainless and you wont have to worry so much about melted chocolate bars, spilled perfume or oozing chapstick on the purse.
Even so, the smaller ones that are easy to conceal...did they really ever lose popularity? There are more to choose from today, then there ever has been.
hecks...the next step towards registration and confiscation.

Popular again? When were they not?
The semi does offer more shots in a more compact package, but the wheelies are simple, reliable, and many times, more accurate. I love the feel of a wheelie grip (you're not palming 14 rounds) when you draw. I love hammers.
+1 for stainless. Spend the extra coin for carry.

I never knew they had ever lost popularity.

I too love a revolver. 5-8 rounds right where you want 'em.

Man, I love watching wheelgunners shoot steel matches! A young guy I see often at Tuesday Night Steel shoots a S&W 327 - 8 shot, scandium frame, 4" barrel, and his times are on a par with mine shooting an autoloader (although I credit that to his youth!). Then we have the ICORE guys, one of whom shoots from a wheelchair and is a Master if not a Grand Master. Simply amazing to watch these guys shoot.

They have their advantages. I am considering one to be used primarily as a small car carry gun. They have a real benefit of tolerating periods of non use much better which makes them perfect for this sort of application.

They do seem to be more popular than they might have seemed when the world went semi-auto crazy, I think many are realizing that a wheel gun is still a viable defensive tool and not everyone needs a high capacity magazine for their personal defense. And if you are trying to Keep It Simple S, I can't think of anything used for defensive carry any simplier!

I didn't realize it either, maybe we're just old, Gman.

Love revolvers, been looking for a Ruger SP 101 357 mag 3" barrel, at the last two gun shows I've been to, found nothing. Very few used revolvers other then very old ones. I've even taken a couple 9mm pistols along with 2, 38's to a resent gun show, sold the 38's brought the 9mm's home.

Ah. Perfect. I am glad to hear they are back. Now I can go out and get yet another one. I will just tell her that they are all the rage and I must follow the trends. HA HA. I love wheel guns and if this is a chance to add that S&W Performance center 357 then maybe I will just run with it.
Any idea on what other gun may come back in popularity soon? Man I hope it is the AR-15. I might need another one of those as well.
It's not a problem til they make it one!
