Need help, CDP won't drop magazine without a push...
CDP Pro II, got it in a trade/cash deal....looks brand new. It won't drop a mag (empty or loaded) without a little push on the mag from the bottom with me holding magazine release button.
Anyone know if it's just a cleaning it needs...something stuck...or do we do the gunsmith thing....?
Any help would be appreciated....if there are any 'paint' related questions, feel free......

Does it feel like the mag release is snagging on the mag lip? Or is it just a tight fit? Any rub marks on the mag?
I'd suggest a thorough degreasing and oiling of the release mechanism, followed by a up-close insp of the mag(s) for binding. If nothing obvious aooears, a trip to a GS may be in order. Doesn't sound too serious, possibly just a clearance issue.

It definitely sounds like a mag problem. If you have access to a Wilson mag, try one. I haven't seen a pistol that wouldn't drop a Wilson.

Empty mag (a Kimber) will drop with a quick push and release of magazine release. I do need to oil them though.....but a topped off magazine....nope, nothing unless I push up from the bottom. Can the button get adjusted, or is it a magazine problem? My Kimber Tactical has none of these problems....thanks in advance.
