    OOPS, G19 trigger spring broke

    Spent yesterday at the range with one of my daughters and cleaned the guns this morning.
    Everything was going fine until I accomplished a function check on the G19 (my edc).
    The trigger would not reset.
    Took the slide off and there was the trigger spring laying there.
    The spring only has 1000-1500 rounds on it, so it may have been a flaw.
    I think I reset the trigger by accident and then installed the slide or had the trigger forward when I took the slide off.
    Not sure which it is, but thank goodness I had a spare spring at the house.
    Make sure you do your function checks after cleaning, more than once to make sure it all works and keep a few springs in your range bag in case it doesnt.
    I've had the G19 since 95 and this was a first for me.

    Started using Gunzilla (3-10) and what a difference it makes in the cleaning time. WOW, Great Stuff.

    Actually, you can STILL fire a Glock with the trigger spring broken.

    I've had the G19 since 95 and this was a first for me.

    I think that was the problem. The Trigger Spring has been "modified" due to the breakage issue since then, IIRC.

    I change my Trigger Spring at the same time I change my Recoil Spring. It's cheap insurance.

    It was a new spring, less than 6m old. Thats why I am so baffled by the broken spring.

    back in 91 i broke a trigger spring on my glock 17. sometimes small things happen. come to think of it that is the only problem that i have had with any of my glocks.
