is it needed to add gun oil in these two holes on the side if the bolt carrier group?
I never have. I thought those where ejection ports for the gas to blow out?
But I could very well be wrong about that.

yep they are gas ports,when cleaning the bolt I use the firing pin to poke in the holes to make sure the holes aren't getting carboned up,just poke it in and work it back and forth a few times

i thought that was the gas ports too, hmm well i guess it wont hurt to put a couple drops in there and rack it a few times
