geez... maybe i shoulda bought a revolver.. got a new P95 at the gunshow yesterday.. took it home and disasemled it to clean ou the gunk.. instead of reading the directions I proceeded to atempt to reassemble it.. well i am not sure what i did .. may have even pulled the trigger in my frustration but now I cant get the slide back far enough to put the slide stop in and i also cant get the slide back off of the gun.. the slide is in a normal position with the barrel and spring rod sticking out about an inch or so..WHAT AN IDIOT!!!!.. thanks for any advice

I would suggest starting by editing your title before a mod comes along and nails you. Fast. Mind your tongue around here.

I don't think you can edit your own headline.
Sorry OP, I don't own a p95. I'd attempt a youtube or google search.

You can indeed fix your own title as long as you do so within a SHORT amount of time from original posting. Go to edit, the go advance....

What's a "shirt" amount of time?
5...10 minutes?

Yeah, I know... But I have to be around to do so. Did you know that you could have fixed it too?

Yes, but I am to be held "blameless" because I didn't even notice it until AFTER HotGuns didn't fix it when he could have fixed it.

Yes, all the cool kids are these days.
To help out the OP, lightly tap the slide forward with a rubber mallet. This will free the slide and try again. Also, there is a bail in the magazine well, make sure this is pushed downward before reassembly. And if that doesn't work, call Ruger and tell them I broke it. They'll put it on my tab.
