Don't this Bore-snake works that well... (pics)

I've been thinking about getting a boresnake but if I'm gonna clean my rifles/pistols at all, I want them CLEAN, so maybe I'll stick with the rod. I usually put a brass brush on the end, wrap a patch tightly around it, dip the patch in Hoppe's #9, and clean that way.

I picked up a boresnake viper that Hoppe's has. It had more to it than some of the others so I figured I would try it out.

And what keeps the Boresnake clean? Doesn't make sense to keep dragging a dirt snake thru the bore. Patches I can afford to toss after every swipe.

You are supposed to clean the boresnakes as well. You just need warm water, maybe a little soap.

It's too easy to cut up an old T and toss the rags. No washing required.
