Just wondering my father in law has a air compressor in his wood shop. Would using it to blow out residue inside the gun hurt it? It's rather high pressure and is controllable if your careful, but I'm just wondering if I maxed the air out would it hurt anything.

Use mine all the time. Great for getting moisture out.
I use mine a lot for cleaning my guns. Just turn down the pressure a good bit and use a blower attachment that gives you control, the only thing you'll hurt is your fingers if you're not careful.
I do re-lube them a bit after I blow them out.
Won't hurt...I use 'canned air' to dry out parts and remove any lint possibilities.
I use mine full blast with no issues. Be sure to wear eye pro though. Seems to me brake cleaner and air compressors are the ultimate in quick cleaning firearms.
Figured as much. Thanks for the replies. I have used it in the past after cleaning to get all moisture and lube out, wipe clean, relube, put on hip, and duty ready.

Would not brake cleaner attack the plastic parts on your gun?
I've been told it can affect some plastics. I tested it on a hidden piece of my OEM Arsenal AK furniture and nothing happened. don't know if it's glass filled nylon, zytel, straight plastic or what though. I think GunScrubber is essentially the same stuff. I'm sure it has a big caution label on it for stuff it may harm.Quote:
