I think most rubbing compounds use a wax base, just use some denatured alcohol to remove it then reoil the gun.

Will gun scrubber work?

If gunScrubber doesn't work send an e-mail to Turtle Wax. Good luck.
I might just do that. It is made by meguiars ultimate compound

Now that I look at it the spot where it is present is the spot I did try to buff a couple scratches out. I stand corrected folks. tried gun scrubber and no luck. So I may try Goo gone. Doesnt 409 have properties that would strip a parkerized finish?

Its looking like its a scratch from where i tried to wipe it with all the cleaners and nothing so I am just going to carry it and beat the hell out of it. It just shows the gun is not a safe queen and is used. But I might get it refinished when I go to put sights and a match trigger in it.
