I think you're more likely to remove the finish on the outside than the carbon buildup on the inside.
I assume you are not planning to use a rotary tumbler with stainless steel shot?
The tennifer is imbedded with the steel. The black outer finish will come off.
Tumblers are made for cleaning brass, Hoppes for cleaning guns.
Much prefer chemical cleaning - especially with the non-toxic alternatives out there; quicker and you'll still have to clean the dust/media from the parts.
Why would you. Hopes or other cleaners should do the job just fine.
I think you really really shouldn't.Throw it in the dishwasher like everyone else
