    Cleaning a Stainless Gun

As a recent owner of a Stainless Sig P229, I need some help in how best to clean it.

As I understand it, I should use TW-25B, at least according to Sig. However, I'm looking for a lot more detail.

Can any stainless owners recommend materials for cleaning, lubricating, and preserving (separately or in combination) a stainless handgun?

I use Breakfree CLP on all my guns, including Kimber Stainless and S&W Airweight.

Same guns, same use of Breakfree CLP. Works great for me.

I use different stuff from time to time (Break Free, Gun Scrubber, Rem-DriLube, Outer's Bore Cleaner, Rem Brite Bore, Zero Friction, +)...but whatever I use...it's the same for all my weapons...SS needs no special treatment...OMO

Might also give Gunzilla a try. My P220 was getting some spots around the rear slide serrations. IMO, stainless requires just as much care in keeping rust away as anything else.

I also use the same as others above have posted on my stainless guns, and a few drops of Mobile 1 for the lube.

I use WeaponShield and have been using it for a while now. I'm extremely happy with it.
I use it as an "all in one" Cleans~Lubricates~Protects.
It was formulated by the same chemist that invented FirePower-10 (FP10) which independently tested better than BreakFree.

    +1

I've been using Gunzilla for a while now, it's the best cleaner/lubricant I've ever used and there aren't any noxious fumes.
