Lube!

What do you lube with? Oil, grease, spit?

Oil. Good 'ol fashioned Hoppes oil. Works great and I like the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality.

Rem Oil.

TW-25B grease

Remmington Oil

Tetra. A tad bit of the tetra grease on the rails, tetra oil on the trigger groups, hammers, springs etc.

EEZOX throughout.

Weapon Shield! (and a little TW25b in the rails) :wink:

Mil-Tec is good stuff too!

Lithium bearing grease and/or lucas gun oil.

I'm mixing these days. For years it was nothing but CLP (Break Free). Still use that, but in high friction/contact areas (hammer face, frame/slide rails, locking lugs and barrel links/slide stops), I now use grease, and am still experimenting with brands/types.

I've tried Tetra and liked it. But the last couple places I tried to get more were out of stock. So I ordered some Wilson grease. Like it, especially the syringe applicator, but it's gone missing. So I am using a free sample of "Magnalube-G" (green stuff) PTFE Grease I got from a link in a thread here. Seems to be good stuff.

I'll try 5-10 more and settle on one probably. Leaning towards a white lithium grease, probably something from automotive, so I get a lot for a small cost. And I'll find that Wilson syringe and try to reload it.

Light coat of Break Free CLP and small amount of synthetic grease on bearing surfaces.

Militec - 1

Hoppes #9 for cleaning.

Breakfree CLP for lubing.

Militec-1 again. The Best lube/conditioner out there IMO. Ask the troops what their using over in Iraq and Afghanastan. Does not collect dust, dirt, lint ect. Once you have properly done your weapon with it, you'll never go back. Water runs off like rain x on a treated window:smile:

I shoot glocks, so I only use a tiny bit of Hoppes gun oil or Break Free.
