Has anyone ever tried ATF for a stainless revolver?
Has anyone here ever tried using automatic transmission fluid on a stainless gun? I once had a .22 revolver that had problems with cases sticking in the cylinders. I soaked the cylinder in ATF overnight, cleaned it (quite thoroughly) and the problem went away. I don't know if the ATF "bonded" with the steel or if it just cleaned it very thoroughly but it worked.
Has anyone else ever tried this?

ATF is a cleaner. It is one of the main ingredients of "Ed's Red", a homemade gun solvent. Look at this site.
