I almost took the course earlier this summer (was held at our local PD) but work got in the way. Next time it's offered close by, I'm burning a few vacation days.

    I would definitely go.

As soon as I get settled at my new location I will be looking for the course.

I thought about the course as well. There is one offered in Charlottesville next week. But $150 is a lot of money right now.

You can buy the Glock punch tool for less than $20. I paid another $20 for a video Complete Glock Disassembly / Assembly. The video was not worth it, but the tool was.

It replaced the stock trigger springs with NY1 triggers in both my Glocks. The first one took me about 1.5 hours (stupid video). The 2nd replacement took just 10 minutes watching a video on YouTube. Big thanks to Ramrod as well for posting a diagram of how the trigger sits in the housing.

So, basically, with this one tool, I can do most everything I'll ever need to do except sights.

If a Glock is your chosen one and you want to learn how to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair it - then yes. I have been a Glock armorer for about 11 years now and the course is always worth it. The Glock instructors are top notch and you will learn so much more than from a video or book.

Moot point, none anywhere near me. I'll just stick with my Glock tool and AGI video and the books I picked up. I have already installed a NY#1 trigger by myself and I don't see any other major modifications coming.

There is an Armorer course next month within 30 miles from my home. I signed up and will be taking it. The price is now $195.00. Well worth it to me even though I'm 72 yrs. old. Curiosity killed the cat, satisfaction brought him back.

Yes, do it! I took the course back in 1992 and enjoyed it! I would like to take an updated refresher class if they had one near me. BTW, the instructors we had were top notch! Good luck!

Knowing absolutely nothing about the deep innards of my weapons except hearing words and seeing pictures, if this was hands on, I might like it when I have $195 to blow. I'm chicken to take one of my babies totally apart for a looky-look even with all the YTs around.

    Diva,

At the time I wanted be sure I was getting the RIGHT information. YT is a great resource but you don't always know who is a genius and who is a wannabe.

If you have the time and money the AC is definitely worth it.
