I just noticed that mine has been stuck at 500 most of the day.

How often is a member's post count updated?
I just noticed that mine has been stuck at 500 most of the day.
edit: of course this one knocks it up to 501... 
though there are still a few posts not accounted for.

It depends on where you have been posting....... Some posts don't count, like in Off Topic. Besides, it's not a contest.

I've noticed that subsequest posts on the same thread seem to not count, but I have seen off topic ones that do.

Never thought it was...
Just noticed an oddity and figured that if there was a bug, admin should know about it.
But the off-topic thing, that would probably explain it. I've been posting there quite a bit.

It isn't about the number of posts as much as it is content of those posts.
There is something about firing 4,200 thirty millimeter rounds/min that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Subsequent posts in a thread count the same as any other as long as they are in a forum that increments the counter....
