This line is what I would call a overkill use of the smiley's. Otherwise I think they can be used to reflect someone's emotional state of their post.

A slight correction on what QK stated is in order. Sometimes the rare member will find the door to swing only one way.... out. And, it oftentimes happens when we get a member that believes their doodie lacks odor.....
