    O.K.-- I give up. Just what is the "green thing" on some threads that looks like a chess piece? It's on the left side of the info. stuff. Thanks in advance.

    No, he's talking about on forum posts screens, such as "new posts" or looking at thread lists in subforums, on the left of the page there's a green pawn...
