    Exclamation Defensive Carry.com Performance Plummeting

This site is running like a full cement truck driving through the Okefenokee Swamp during the Jurassic Period. New pages take minutes to load, simple actions are measurable in minutes if not more. I can perk a fresh pot of coffee and have breakfast waiting for keyboard commands to act.

The very interesting point though, is my other sites are running FINE. This is solely a problem here.

    What gives?

I am running an Apple MacBook Pro 2.1 Intel Core 2 Duo with 10.6.8 on Safari. I shall try Firefox now to see if there is any hope left for this site.

I have an iMac and I'm not having any problems.

There's your problem. The oxygen is too thin up there for proper DC.com function.

My regular old PC is still running DC at the same speed it always has. Although I think DC did go from one extreme (no political conversations at all) to the other (tin foil threads).

I just logged on and it appears the sludge has lifted. I think the Mods were sending me a warning.

I am now using an ancient XP machine with Firefox and a brand new iMac with Safari; both operating through the same router. Both are running well.

I think you just ran into a temporary glitch.

Running fine on both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04 for me.
Been calling it like I see it since 1988 and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Thanks R&G. Its been an interesting transition, but the part I worried about most-- the networking--- turned out to be a piece of cake. I've even got my printer serving both computers. Now wish me luck with "Migration Assistant." Thanks.
