FWIW-- I am fairly sure I've been infected with malware from this site or its advertisers; not just on this machine but on
an iMac, even running MicroTrend in the background on the iMac.

I'm afraid one or more of the many advertisers don't have clean web sites.

The web has become the wild west, and the world needs an entirely new web/internet design built with security from the ground up. This one, designed 35 years ago for specialized university and military work isn't up to the task it has. And it is really
more than an annoyance. It is a national security issue.

I usually run FireFox with AdBlocker, but today the ads are showing up.

    Maybe something's up...

Yeah man, Firefox is the best IMHO. Also be sure and use the Firefox add-on called NoScript, which blocks nasty scripting hacks.

I spent the last 2 days cleaning mine up so I could use it again. Malware from this sight. It was a nasty bug. Glad to be back.

I picked one up here today, about 4pm. Glad I was at work, I just had our IT guy come in and fix the problem.
It was a "security shield" malware. (I said that like I knew what I was talking about)

Any idea when an administrator will address this issue?

I took the advice some offered to use the Firefox add on Addblock plus. It works. But, I liked
seeing the ads. I thought they were a valuable plus for the site; at least so long as they were gun
and gun gear related; holster related etc.

It isn't good for the owner of this site that so many folks are choosing to use ad blockers, as I would think
that ultimately hurts the revenue stream.

I'm too far from a guru to suggest anything to solve this, but I sure hope someone helps him/them
    find a solution.

I'd gladly take the ad blocker off or browse here with a different browser if I thought it
    was safe to do so.

My browser routinely tells me that there is something malicious on this site. It will shut me down if I dont obey the warning.

My Norton notified me it killed a Rootkit something or other earlier today when I hit this web site.
