The Obama campaign probably figures that if gun owners are foolish enough to make another rush on guns and ammo then maybe they're foolish enough to give him a donation.

I guess as long as there is a buck in it the new Forum Owners,will advertise it,this place is becoming nothing but one huge advertisement,Knowing how Anti-Gun he is but willing to accept his money makes we wanta puke.They keep this crap up and I'm leaving

"This is not strictly business as usual" Money can not be the only reason the owners took this advertisement, from a guy and a political campaign which has very little in common with 95% of the posters in this forum. I hope someone else is able to see the ad's to confirm I am not crazy. I hated to even start this thread, but I dislike the ad here more.

Web sites often sell blocks of advertising space to third party brokers, who in turn sell them to whomever. Youtube is particularly arbitrary, as I have found out through my own experience. Look at it another way--would you rather have Obama advertising dollars wasted here, where it will have no positive effect for his campaign, or some place where it would actually have some sway?
I have not seen it. Is it a popup or embedded on the page?

I don't think the forum owners have any direct control over what individual ads get posted here. My best guess is that it's just a contract with an Internet advertising firm.
The present forum owners are pretty good guys and they are gun owners.
Why wouldn't you want them to get some of that Barak moolah?
It's just wasted money over here and so wouldn't you want that ad money spent here where it isn't going to do Barak any good rather than that money spent on the Good Housekeeping website where it might be effective.
Whatever money they waste here isn't available for use anyplace else.
