Please try and keep it to a minimum regarding posting to the new member threads, I typically try to keep everything past page two of that section closed.


Members that continuously go down the line of the entire section posting to every open thread available may have their posts removed. Continuous "abuse" of this may result in members not being able to post in that section should this occur on such a large scale.

Abuse is what it's all about these days, and how far one can go. Hey.........when the government has put the foot down as to what's acceptable, the free world wants to test their own....push the limits. Ask anyone who's done stupid stuff whether stupid stuff should be allowed. Answer? As long as I can do it everything is okay.....otherwise I want to complain about what others do. Bunch of dog-gone sissies crying for milk. Just my humble opinion. Post count? We should be working as a team here for the benefit of others. Which reminds me...............website fund drive is coming up!

I don't really care about my post count. But this is the first--and ONLY--forum that I have "joined" and participate in, and I know I appreciated being "welcomed" by a lot of the "old timers" when I first joined. It really can be somewhat intimidating at first. So I try to give a quick welcome to everyone. Some get just a "standard" welcome, but others I add more personally focused comments depending upon if we have something in common, such as having lived in the same area, served in the same military unit, carry the same type gun, etc. Hey! I just raised my count by one more! And I sure don't want to get that last star filled in if you have to become an administrator to do it! That has got to be WAY more time consuming than I have time for! I do appreciate the job they do!

The count means little or nothing to me. I usually "welcome" those who are in "What's new" without looking at the date of joining. Now that I know this, I will pay attention to the date and just "welcome" those who just joined. Thanks for letting me know.

Ya just have to have a chicken blood resistant monitor and wear a splash shield.

Yup, just drag it to your favorites bar and you can change the name to what ever you want by editing it in the favorites list.

Here, made it easy for ya. just drag this link to your favorites bar. (Firefox is what I use but still should work in others)

I do my best to avoid the newbie threads...simply because I'm not sure they'll be around long enough to take a welcome. Once in a while thought....I can't help myself especially if they are from the home state. Glad to see newbies actually. I remember some of the real active days of the past here. I think a generation passed after what's his name was elected president actually. We're dealing with a new generation now. Seeing the regulars I grew up with still posting is more exciting to me than newbie posts for sure.
